I want to cancel my booking

Our cancellation policy states that if a cancellation is received within 48hours of the booking then payment is still required (unless agreed otherwise in writing).

We are a non - profit organisation run by volunteers who live in East Linton. There are only 2 roles within the community hall that are not voluntary:

(1)  hall keepers who open, close and setup the venue for your booking

(2)  cleaning team.

These roles require a rota well in advance, which is why full payment is still required if a cancellation is received within 48hours of the booking, by then we are committed to the Hall Keepers payment.

We try to be as flexible as possible so that we can best support the community however we are unlikely to fill a cancelled booking space at short notice. This means a likely loss of valuable income to keep the hall running. We therefore appreciate as much notice as possible.

From talking to other similar venues, we recognise that our prices are low and we have a generous cancellation policy by comparison. Your support will help us to ensure that we keep the community hall fit for purpose and available to all.

CANCEL - I want to cancel or rearrange but can't see where? If you email EastLintonHall@gmail.com they will contact you to discuss.

REFUNDS

If you are eligible for a refund, please allow 28 days. As a volunteer-run registered charity, we manage all financial transactions carefully to ensure compliance.

We are unable to process refunds via bank transfer and all refunds are therefore made by cheque. Again to ensure compliance, our refund process requires two signatures on every cheque we issue, so please allow time for the hall volunteers to do this. We will contact you to arrange delivery of the cheque, but if you don’t live in East Linton then we will arrange for postage to the address on the original invoice.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us.
