If you cancel within 48 hours of your booking, full payment is still required — unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. This is because we'll already have committed to paying our hall keepers and cleaning team, who we rely on to set up your event.

If you're eligible for a refund, please allow up to 28 days. As a volunteer-run charity, all refunds are issued by cheque (requiring two signatures). Our charity bank account does not allowus to process bank transfers. We'll contact you to arrange delivery, or post the cheque if you're outside East Linton
Why we ask for as much notice as possible
East Linton Community Hall is run almost entirely by volunteers. The only paid roles are our hall keepers who open, close and set up the venue and our cleaning team, both of whom are rostered well in advance. By the time a short-notice cancellation arrives, we're already committed to those payments, and the space is very unlikely to be filled at that stage.
Every booking helps keep the hall running for the whole community. We know our prices are low and our cancellation policy is generous compared to similar venues, and we'd love to keep it that way. The more notice you can give us, the more it helps. Thank you.
